Hey friendsss 👋🏾
I’m Amira, a creative communicator and storyteller with a love for solving problems, uncovering human insights, and making work that connects people. I’m a proud immigrant from Spanish Town, Jamaica, who later became a proud graduate of Howard University. That degree opened the door to a career that has taken me from editorial design to advertising, integrated campaigns, storytelling, and everything in between.
With experience at VML, Manifest, and USA TODAY, I’ve worked across small and large, agency and in-house teams, bringing ideas to life through print, digital, social, film, experiential, and more. Along the way, I’ve learned that creativity is one of the most powerful tools we have for storytelling, problem-solving, building community, and creating meaningful change.
Beyond what I create, my purpose is just as rooted in how I show up for others. Whether I’m stress-sweating through my anxiety to speak on panels, mentoring aspiring creatives, creating space for Black voices, or sharing what I’ve learned along the way, I want my legacy to include opening doors and making the path a little wider for the people coming behind me.
When it’s time to just be, you can find me obsessing over my part-menace, part-angelic furball, Harpur, or making sure the vacation actually leaves the group chat. I’m also a passionate champion of Black women’s excellence in all spaces—from music to business to simply existing and thriving. In all I do, I embrace creativity, self-awareness, and self-reflection, while celebrating the pride and joy of Black womanhood every step of the way.
