Hey friendsss 👋🏾

I’m Amira, a New York-based art director with a love for solving problems and uncovering human insights. I’m a proud immigrant from Spanish Town, Jamaica, who later became a proud graduate of Howard University. That degree opened the door to my creative career, and The One School catapulted me into the world of advertising.

With experience at VML, Manifest, and USA Today, I’ve thrived in small and large, agency and in-house teams, tackling projects in print, digital, social, and more. I also take pleasure freelancing for small businesses and bringing my own creative ventures to life. Through it all, I’ve learned creativity is one of the most powerful tools we have—for storytelling, problem-solving, and building community.

Beyond what I do for brands, my purpose is just as much rooted in uplifting others. Whether I’m stress-sweating through my anxiety to speak on panels, raising my hand to mentor aspiring creatives, or sharing what I’ve learned, I want my legacy to be opening doors for others.

When it’s time to just be, you can find me obsessing over my part-menace, part-angelic furball, Harpur, or making sure the vacation actually leaves the group chat. I’m also a passionate champion of Black women’s excellence in all spaces—from music to business to simply existing and thriving. In all I do, I embrace creativity, self-awareness, and self-reflection, while celebrating the pride and joy of Black womanhood every step of the way.
